A Non-Governmental Organization, The Open Heart Samaritan Mission yesterday embarked on a mission of putting smiles on children’s faces as they shared love with patients in the children’s ward of Lagos State General Hospital, Ikeja. This according to Mr. Favour Omomuwa, the president of the organization, was their own way of celebration Nigeria’s 55 years anniversary. The group’s visitation to the hospital must have been an answer to many patient’s prayers as the parents were so appreciative of the visitation, prayers, and gifts given to them. A lot of the patients have been there for weeks without any friend or family member paying them a visit. It was indeed a practical show of love to those children and their families. Speaking further, Mr. Omomuwa announced, “This is a clarion call to men and women all over the world to reach out to those around them and show them love. Just like the Biblical Good Samaritan, we are supposed to reach out to anyone who is in need around us, irrespective of tribe or religion. We have in our own little way tried to share love with these children. Go and do likewise!” he stated

The Open Heaven Samaritan Mission will embark on two more outings this month; Prison visitation, and Free Medical Checkup in Ajegunle.

Members of the organization are; Ajayi Taiwo, Nwanem Ogechukwu, Peace Eguefo, Ekwere Jenny, Okoh Alexander, and Ayoade Ajoke
