James 1:27
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this; to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world”
The charity city project team pays an aged widow a visit today, to practically show the love of God to her by presenting a cash donation of N20,000 to support her petty business.

Mrs Justina Oriabure popularly known as Mama Ajimoh is a 72year old widow, who lost her husband years back. She has 7 children (5 Daughters and 2 Sons) all of whom are incapable of meeting the needs of their families and therefore unable to financially assist their mother.
Mrs. Oriabure currently lives at NO 3, Ojelade Street, Beesam, Mafoloku with her daughter, her first son, his wife and their 6 children, this makes it a total of 10 people living in a single room. Her son, who is partially blind, has no means of livelihood and has been unemployed for the past five years due to the worsening condition of his eye sight.
With the financial situation of the family and the physical condition of her husband, the wife having lost hope abandoned the family, leaving all responsibilities on Mrs. Oriabure (an aged woman) The wife later returned and is currently a factory worker but is still unable to provide for the family as she is paid less to nothing at work.
Mrs. Oriabure is a petty trader who sells food stuffs like pepper, garri, groundnut oil and palm oil at her shop which is at Alh Adijat Lawal Close, Beesam, Mafoloku. She is a very hardworking woman, who goes to the market every 2-3 days to buy goods to sell but she is often unable to get her profit as the family feed on whatever gains she makes daily and so they live from hand to mouth.
This aged woman is the caretaker of the family; she provides for the educational costs of the children, the feeding and accommodation of the family. Regardless of the current situation of her children and the family, she strives everyday to ensure that they have something to eat and a roof over their head. With the strength and determination Mrs. Oriabure has shown, the Charity City Project team was so pleased to pay her a visit to extend a helping hand and bring joy and hope to she and her family.
While presenting the cash donation to her, the leader of the team Azemobor Gregory enjoined her to make judicious use of the money to boost her petty business so she could adequately provide for the family.
The team also visited their house to see her son who is partially blind, and other members of the family as we counseled and prayed with them. While departing, it was obvious that their burden was lifted as bright smiles lit the faces of every member of the family. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
Special thanks to a beloved sister who made a generous donations to enable us support some widows (Although, you prefer to be anonymous, my God who sees in secret will reward your sacrifice of love)
