Mrs. Aminat Mohammed, a mother of 2 children is the wife of Late Mr. Murtala Mohammed, who hails from Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State. Before the demise of Mr. Mohammed, he was the breadwinner of the family, and he was able to cater for his family with the money he earns from his workplace at Apapa Wharf; not until the cold hands of death snatched him away from his family, he died as result of an accident which occurred along Apapa Road, Lagos, on his way to work, when a heavy-duty truck carrying a container fell on him while he was in motion on his bike to work.m

Since the death of her husband in February 2015, Mrs. Mohammed has been saddled with the responsibility of single-handedly taking care of her children: paying for house rent, school fees, feeding etc from her petty food business, and this has really been a big burden on her.

But today, her story is about to change for good and her burden of meeting the needs of her children has been lightened, because the Voice of Divine Truth International Outreach team, enlisted Mrs. Aminat Mohammed among the Widows for empowerment, and today visited her at her place of residence which is located at NO. 33, Shiaba Street, Agege, Lagos.
At her place, a cash donation of ₦20,000 was given to her to help boost her petty food business, which if used judiciously, will, in turn, provide for the necessary needs of the family. Feeling so grateful, Mrs. Mohammed thanked and prayed for the organization and its partners in her local dialect – Hausa, saying; “Na gode Allah ya albarkace ku (Thank you, may Allah bless you…)”.

As you watch and see us help widows who are in need, please be inspired also to do likewise. There are Widows around you, go out of your way to show them the love of God. God will not come down from heaven to that; you should represent His interest here on earth.
